The Great Gatsby: Book VS Movie

Let me start by saying that I love The Great Gatsby because it taught me to be careful when I'm reading a book, to always question the motives of the characters and the function of symbols so as not to get ahead and assume that I know how the characters feel or think when in fact I misinterpret things and I don't pay close attention to the text. It goes without saying that my view and thoughts when I finished reading the book for the first time changed radically after the literary analysis that we did in my american modern prose course at university. I'm not here today to discuss the meaning behind this masterpiece of a short story that F. Scott Fitzegerald wrote in 1925 but its differences with the titular movie that came out in 2013 and it is directed by Baz Luhrmann.
