Reading Nobel Winner Authors for a Week 📚

Image
By starting my Monthly Wrap Up series, my suspicion that I'm a slow reader was confirmed since the number of books I read monthly is much smaller compared to the tons of books that BookTubers finish during the same time period. So, I decided to challenge myself by trying to see how many books I can read in just a week. In order to make things more interesting, I gave a theme to this challenge; all books had to be written by authors who have won the Nobel prize in Literature. Are you intrigued? Do you want to see how I did? If yes, just keep reading!

How many films in 3 days?

Image
I don't think that much explanation is needed; I'm just trying to see how many films I can watch in just 3 days. The only thing that I should say is that I'll try to be concise when it comes to my comments on the films as reviewing them isn't the purpose of this post. So, let's see what I watched.

What I spend as a 22-year-old in Greece

I loved this YouTube trend and I really wanted to try it out! I was thinking of documenting my expenses for a whole month but that may be too long and boring for anyone to read. So, a week it is. It goes without saying that every week is different. The one you are about to see is more in the extravagant side, but I chose it on purpose so that you have something interesting to read and you don't get bored by me being at home every day and not spending a dime, which is my usual state.😅 Without further ado, let's analyze my spendings.

The Great Gatsby: Book VS Movie

Let me start by saying that I love The Great Gatsby because it taught me to be careful when I'm reading a book, to always question the motives of the characters and the function of symbols so as not to get ahead and assume that I know how the characters feel or think when in fact I misinterpret things and I don't pay close attention to the text. It goes without saying that my view and thoughts when I finished reading the book for the first time changed radically after the literary analysis that we did in my american modern prose course at university. I'm not here today to discuss the meaning behind this masterpiece of a short story that F. Scott Fitzegerald wrote in 1925 but its differences with the titular movie that came out in 2013 and it is directed by Baz Luhrmann. Before going on with their main differences, let me just say that I am obsessed with the movie. What I loved the most is the colours and the visual effects used. Everything is so bright and saturated t...

One season each day for a week 💻

Image
A long time has passed since my first and last challenge . I'm here today to change that. Two weeks ago, I watched one whole season from different Netflix original series for a week. This was a huge challenge for me as I was used to watching two episodes a day at most. But as you can guess, I managed to successfully complete my mission. I should note that I made sure that the series that I watched had only one season so that the post has a variety of series to recommend. So, let me list the series I watched and I hope that I inspire you to watch one or all of them as well.

Action Movies Every Day
