What I spend as a 22-year-old in Greece
I loved this YouTube trend and I really wanted to try it out! I was thinking of documenting my expenses for a whole month but that may be too long and boring for anyone to read. So, a week it is.
It goes without saying that every week is different. The one you are about to see is more in the extravagant side, but I chose it on purpose so that you have something interesting to read and you don't get bored by me being at home every day and not spending a dime, which is my usual state.😅 Without further ado, let's analyze my spendings.

The start of the week was cheap and lazy; just as I like it. I hadn't arranged anything and food had been left in my fridge from my previous weekly supermarket spree so there was no reason for me to leave the comfort of my home.

11,64 €
This week's supermarket spree occured today. I usually don't buy much as whenever I do, things go bad, which of course I do not enjoy. This is why I spent only 9,64 € for food. As for the remaining 2 €, it was for bus tickets as I visited a friend's house in order to help her with English since she is going to take an English proficiency exam and she asked for my help.

And that was the day to socialize. I went out with my boyfriend and a friend at a cozy coffee shop that I had never been before. And since it was a sunny day, we sat outside -even though I always prefer the interior. I ordered a delicious hot chocolate with orange and cinnamon, which costed 4 €.

My boyfriend's birthday was the next day so that was my last chance to go out and hunt for the perfect gift. I visited Flying Tiger Copenhagen because I love their fun products. I bought him a small storage box that looked kinda like a book and I put a card and a hand grip inside. These three products costed 8 €.
After buying the present, I went to a pharmacy and bought my contraceptive pills, which are 10,90 €.
Later in the evening, my boyfriend came at my house and we let the birthday celebrations start early by ordering some food. We each ordered a burger and we shared a stuffed potato and a hot dog. We had a coupon and this is why all that costed only 13 €. I paid half, which is 6,50 €.

Since I gave my boyfriend his present at midnight, I wanted to surprise him during his birthday party in the evening. So, I went to my favourite bookshop and I bought him Sir Walter Scott's Rob Roy which was only 3 €. But since I was there, I couldn't resist and I bought Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South for myself, for which I paid another 3 €.
Later that day, I also paid my internet service provider, which is 21,22 € per month. And I thought that that was it for the spendings of the day but I lent 5 € to a friend in order to get a taxi from my boyfriend's place to her own as it was late when the party was over.

Nothing special happened on Saturday as I stayed home and I didn't spend any money. But after seeing how much I spent the previous two days, I'm extremely glad for today.
13,30 €
For the end of the week, my boyfriend, a friend of ours, who couldn't make it to the party, and I went to a coffee shop to catch up. I bought an instant coffee which was 3,30 €.
For dinner, my boyfriend and I decided to end the week with a bang and we ordered the amazing pizzas you see in the picture above. They were 10 €.
And that was my whole week. Again, every week is different but this was definitely on the "big spender" side for me with the gifts and the deliveries. I would say that I typically spend about 50 € or 60 € weekly.
To conclude, Thessaloniki isn't an expensive city as there are a lot of affordable food and entertainment options to choose from.
