Thoughts about creativity
Are you bored? Are you sad? Are you angry? Instead of banging your head against the wall, be creative! At these moments your inner artist can step up, take the lead and do something beautiful.
Do you enjoy drawing, dancing, writing? No matter what it is that you love, do it! Not only will you feel much better when you finish but also it is possible that something great has been created.
For example, when I felt completely bored today, I decided to make a lyrics video. I know that this may not be the most artistic thing but I love it. I enjoy searching for songs that I like and pictures that match with the concept of the song somehow and then looking for the correct font and where the right place to put the lyrics is.
When I finished and I saw the whole project, I felt satisfied and happy, because I was watching something that I made all by myself. Okay yes, I didn't make the picture or the song that were used but the combination of the two and the formation of the video were all me.
Of course, not all the times the result of your artistic work will make you feel proud of it. However, don't let that convince you that you are no good in that sector. Perfection comes with time and with a lot of work. So, if you love what you're doing, don't give it up so easily.
In case though that you are pretty confident about your work, you can always publish it and you never know... you may manage to turn your hobby into a job. When I say publish it, I mean promoting it in your own blog, youtube channel or facebook page. But even if that doesn't happen - as it usually takes a lot of time for something like that to actually occur- you should be proud of yourself for having the courage to share your creation with the world and trying to make your dream come true with the help or the support of no one.
To conclude, either you publish your work or keep it for yourself, remember to always do the things that you love. Don't devote your time in doing things just because they can sell and they are more likely to bring you money and fame, because then I guarantee you that you'll not make it but if you do make it either it will not last for long or you will not be truly happy.
