Thoughts about a great summer
The month of June is usually associated with exams.
And exams are usually associated with stressful and desperate feelings. So,
when the exam period is over, everyone is ecstatic despite of the positive or the negative results. This entails that now that it’s July we can finally enjoy the
summer and have the best time ever!
But what are you supposed to do when you are used to
studying? When you spend a whole month or even more inside a book, you don't know what to do with all the now free time that you have. So, now what?
I hope that you can guess what I am going to suggest…
Do all the fun stuff that come up at your mind. This is your chance to have the
time of your life. It may sound cheesy but life is too short and you should try
to make every moment unique, special, fun and memorable. Okay, of course it is
not possible to be energetic and hyper every single moment but you ought to
try to compete this summer with the previous ones and make it better.
But how will you do that? Firstly, you could focus on
you. Do the things that you always wanted to do but you always postponed. It could be anything from getting a job to bringe watching a bunch of tv series, from understanding the philosophy of Nietzsche to memorizing all the songs of your favorite band or anything else that you can think of. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with the activities you decided to occupy yourself with and not feel bored during the summer.
But of course you can't spend the whole summer alone. You will certainly need the help of your friends in order to have the best summer ever. One of the best things you can do is to go on vocation (which is something that I am actually going to do, so stay tuned for the next post). However, due to financial or other kinds of problems, it is not always possible to do that. Well, it is okay, because you can organize fun activities. Have special nights, like movie maraphons or burger night or whatever you all love. Also, you can spice things up by bringing board games or doing fun challenges. They all may sound too simple or like stuff you would do at any time of the year but the only thing you need in order to have awesome time is your friends or generally people you love.
So, even if you passed or failed, what matters right now is to relax and have a good time until you have to think of studying again. The same applies to those who are working and have leave of absence. Just enjoy your limited leisure time and try to forget the things that bring you down.
