Thoughts about vlogging 📷
It may come as a surprise but I tried vlogging! A few days ago I went with my best friend to the beach. It was my first time going to the beach for this year, so I thought that it was the perfect opportunity for me to actually try vlogging.
And I did!
But I faced some problems. Firstly, I'm a shy girl and even though I was with a friend of mine, in other words with a person that I feel comfortable around, I was embarrassed to take out my camera and start shooting things. However, I did and it made me feel so proud of myself for actually overcoming my shyness and not worrying about what people would think of me (shy people's problems 😓). The next problem was the fact that I didn't want to show my face. And okay, I took shots of the beach and of the amazing doughnut that we ate but the fact that neither I nor my friend was shown and that we were not talking on camera made the video a bit boring. My third and last problem was the editing. It was my first time trying to edit a video like that. I have created lyric videos so I had an idea about how some things work but still it was not the same. Besides of my inexperience, I had to search for a good and free editing app (yes, I'm a cheap person), which made things even more complicated.
Despite of all the difficulties, I managed to create a short video of my time at the beach! And I was planning to share it with you but if you look around, you won't find any video or link. Let me say that I'm not a perfectionist but that does not mean that I would upload something that I don't love. And as you can probably guess I wasn't satisfied with the video.
So, instead of the video I decided to share my opinion about vlogging. To be honest, I like it! I like to see what others do in their daily lives, because I get to see the real people without make-up, living their ordinary life and not a perfect one like many people and especially from the social media industry try to show. Also, it is great for the person who is filming, as he or she documents moments that can go back to later and relive at any time.
Thus, although my first attempt at vlogging didn't go as expected, I am sure that I will try it again. And most importantly, I would advise you to try to document as many memories as you can with the people you love and keep them just for you and them.
