I'm Thinking of Reading a Book 💁🏻‍♀️

While my little brain can't fathom how fast time flies, I want to talk to you about the best books I read in 2023. Out of the 46 books I read last year , these are the ones that impacted me the most.  Note: The books are listed from the most light-hearted to the most traumatic or triggering. 

Happy New Year 🎇 Now is the perfect time to reflect on the past and plan for the future. In bookish terms, I am more than glad to go back down memory lane and see all the books I read in 2023. Of course, I am about to share all of them with you. I hope this piques your curiosity, and you stick around to take a look. Don't worry; I'm a slow reader, so you will not have to go through an insane number of books. On top of that, I am only going to include one sentence summarising my feelings towards each book so as to keep this as short and sweet as possible! So, let's see what I read in the glorious year of 2023.

Believe it or not, 2023 has been here a long time and it is about to "leave". We have two more months of reading to do and there are some books I want to read before the end of 2023. The majority of the books in my list are romances. Although I love romance, the genre offers such a wide variety of tropes that I've felt overwhelmed and hesitant to explore it despite it seeming tailored to my tastes. But now I just want to enjoy stories and not stress over reading highly regarded fiction. So, below you will find some books that I am excited to read because they will fill the last days of 2023 with romance, heartbreak, darkness, curiosity, and laughter. 

I seriously think that I have a problem; I can't control myself when I go to a bookstore. I'm hoping that this is the last book haul for a while because my bookcase is screaming with all my unread books. But don't worry because all the new additions to my bookshelf that you will see below were gathered over the course of a few months, not in one visit. Autumn is officially here, which means that this is the perfect time to reflect upon all the books I read in the summer months and devote a bit of time and space to my favourite ones. Are you ready for some book recommendation? I hope that your answer is yes! 

This post should have been written and posted six months ago; I turned 26 in March. However, I only now feel in the mood to sit down and seriously think about my goals and desires at this point in my life.

We are in the mid of 2023, and it is the perfect time to talk about some of the books that I read this year and I can't stop thinking about. The books on this list are not necessarily 5 ⭐, but there was something about them that impressed me beyond words. There is a variety of books, from classics to contemporary fiction, so you are free to have a look if you are looking for book recs!

It's a bit difficult to provide an introduction for this blogpost because my birthday was on 6 March. As you can see from the day when this is posted, some months have pasted since then. Life has been tedious and eventful at the same time. Anyway, today you get a birthday book haul as it is never too late to commemorate the love you get from family and friends.
