Thoughts about shopping

I think that I have a problem; I can't stop shopping. I just love clothes so much that when I find something that I like, I have to buy it.

And I have a good excuse. I have a lot of clothes that I don't like very much. You know, they are either presents usually from relatives that make you wonder "Why me?" or pieces that for some uncanny reason you thought that you can totally rock them. So, since I don't like them, I don't wear them. But this leaves me with few outfit options every day, which entails that I have to buy new pieces.


But, why am I making it such a big deal, you may be wondering. "If you find things that you like, you should buy them", you will be probably thinking and you are right. The problem however is that I am kinda of a cheap person. I don't want to spend big amounts of money on anything, because I feel like I'm just a spender who doesn't understand the value of money. I haven't still earned money on my own -yes, I do have a job, as you saw at my thoughts about my first day at work, but I haven't been paid yet- and I don't like thinking that my mother's money go to waste.

However, whenever I am in a shop and I see something that I like, I can't resist. This is the main reason why I go shopping while most of the things are on sale. This is what I did the previous month (clothing haul -sales edition- is coming up). But recently I had to purchase I birthday gift for a friend, so I visited all my favorite shops. The sales were over but I found some amazing pieces that I couldn't leave behind.

But why am I so obsessed with clothes? I believe that the way we dress represents our personality, our inner self. In other words, it's like the clothes we choose to wear every day can tell strangers something about us before we even open our mouth and introduce ourselves.

All in all, although I feel bad for spending more money than I think that I should on clothes, I feel excited to wear all the things that I bought and expose discreetly my inner, crazy, sometimes edgy, girl self.
