Thoughts about a scary encounter

Image
Happy New Year 😄 I am going to start this year's publishing with a kind of sad and serious post but I hope that it will actually help both me and you with our 2018 resolutions. It is something that happened to me in 2017 but I think that I will remember it forever.

Thoughts about giving presentations

I guess that everyone has been put at the awkward situation, in which he or she -usually while in school- has to stand at the front or at the center of a room and start talking about something. This is exactly what a great friend of mine and I had to do on previous Wednesday. We worked really hard on the project we were assigned and then it was our time to actually present our work to our fellow students and to our professor.

Thoughts about living without internet

Image
If you are a hardcore subscriber or if you just noticed that I had been gone for a while, you may be wondering what I have been up to all this time. Besides from studying and working, nothing amazing has happened to my life. There was an evil reason for my absence and that was that I didn't have access to the internet. To cut a long story short, I had a lot of complaints against the company that provided me with internet and instead of renewing my contract I asked for my line to be transferred to another company. But in order for this to happen several days were needed. As you can guess, now I do have internet in my house but the previous approximately two weeks were a living nightmare.

Thoughts about going back to university

Image
Summer is officially over when you have to get up early in the morning -either it is 6 or 11 a.m., it is equally bad, as in both cases waking up can be a brutal act- and go to class. Although my posts are usually for everyone, I would like to dedicate this one to university or college students, who I feel -or I hope- can easily identify with my thoughts. I am myself a university student for two years now and I have a lot to say about the experience and the system.

Thoughts about shopping

Image
I think that I have a problem; I can't stop shopping. I just love clothes so much that when I find something that I like, I have to buy it. And I have a good excuse. I have a lot of clothes that I don't like very much. You know, they are either presents usually from relatives that make you wonder "Why me?" or pieces that for some uncanny reason you thought that you can totally rock them. So, since I don't like them, I don't wear them. But this leaves me with few outfit options every day, which entails that I have to buy new pieces.

Thoughts about my first day at work

Image
Today was my first day at my first job. Well, technically it wasn't my first job, as I have also distributed some flyers but this is my first official job. I work as a part-time secretary for a language school. I don't have anything crazy or difficult to do, as I am there in order to generally inform those who want to learn a language how things work around there. And now that I've briefly analyzed my first job let me talk about my first day there.

Thoughts about name days

Image
Today is an important date for the orthodox christians, as they celebrate the Dormition of the Theotokos, which is simply the death of Virgin Mary. But why am I talking about that right now? Well, my name is -let's say- inspired by Madonna and so today it is my name day.

Thoughts about my trip to Skiathos

Image
This summer was special for me because it was the first time going on vacation with friends. No parents, no teachers, no chaperones. Of course, we were extra careful so that nothing bad happens (and spoiler alert nothing bad happened).

Thoughts about a great summer

Image
The month of June is usually associated with exams. And exams are usually associated with stressful and desperate feelings. So, when the exam period is over, everyone is ecstatic despite of the positive or the negative results. This entails that now that it’s July we can finally enjoy the summer and have the best time ever! But what are you supposed to do when you are used to studying? When you spend a whole month or even more inside a book, you don't know what to do with all the now free time that you have. So, now what?

Thoughts about weird experiences

Image
from the short movie  Extn.21 by Lizzie Oxby Life is all about moments. The more pleasurable experiences you have, the happier life you'll probably have. And I am sure that all people are interested in the amusing and cheerful experiences. However, you can't avoid the bad ones. Personally, I think that this is good, because only by knowing how it feels to be sad or unsuccessful you can appreciate the good things that come your way. But what about those experiences that you can't categorize? I am talking about the times that you felt anxious and worried like hell but if you could, you wouldn't change a thing. Usually it is the bitter feeling that is dominant at the specific moment or even when you think about it but you realize that you have gained things out of this experience.
